Jay obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Regina and his Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta. He began articling at the Court of King’s Bench in Edmonton before joining Reynolds Mirth to complete his articles.
During law school, Jay was actively involved in the community as Vice President of Outlaw, a member of the Grad Committee, a performer in Law Show, and a player with the Golden Barristers Rugby Club.
In his personal time, Jay is a passionate creator and explorer. He enjoys painting, playing piano and viola, and swimming. He has a deep appreciation for the natural world, particularly the hidden life in soil, the role of trees in our ecosystems, and oceanic species that remain unexplored. He’s happiest outdoors, whether hiking, biking, camping, or climbing.
