Prior to attending law school, Austin was a teacher at the Edmonton Public School Board. This experience shaped his dedication to helping others and his passion for accessible information.
During law school, Austin served as the Editor-in-Chief of Canons of Construction, the law student newspaper, where he oversaw content production and contributed to the publication. As President of his law school’s chapter of OUTlaw, he helped organize fundraisers to support the Trans ID Clinic. Austin was also a Dayleader at Student Legal Services, running community outreaches to provide free legal information and referrals to low-income and unhoused Edmontonians.
In his personal time, Austin enjoys gardening, quilting, and reading, as well as playing in a weekly Dungeons and Dragons game. Austin also loves independent cinema and is an avid moviegoer.
