
Justine is a litigation associate with a focus on construction and commercial disputes. She assists clients with a variety of matters, including contractual issues, builders’ liens, prompt payment legislation, and general disputes arising from construction projects. Justine works with a range of clients, such as corporations, contractors, subcontractors, owners, individuals, and municipalities. She has appeared in the Alberta Court of Justice and the Alberta Court of King’s Bench. Justine has also represented clients in alternative dispute resolution processes, such as mediations, arbitrations, and prompt payment adjudications.
Justine also advises clients on privacy and security matters. She has assisted municipalities, public bodies, and corporations with responding to and managing access to information requests. Justine has also represented clients in applications before the Office of Information and Protection of Privacy Commissioner.
Justine is currently an instructor for the University of Alberta’s competitive moot program. As part of this role, she coaches the University of Alberta’s team of students in the national Wilson Moot competition.
Justine completed her articles with Reynolds Mirth in 2023. Prior to that, Justine worked with PCL Construction Management for their in-house legal team at the North American Headquarters. She also worked at the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists as a policy improvement analyst. During law school, Justine was a member of the editorial board of the Alberta Law Review. She was a member of the Indigenous Law Students Association and participated in competitive mooting.
In her personal time, Justine enjoys travelling and playing golf.
