We are pleased to announce that our Managing Partner, Julie Gagnon, has been appointed King’s Counsel, with the formal ceremony confirming the appointment to be held at a future date.
The King’s Counsel (KC) designation is a prestigious recognition, appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council following a thorough application and review process. Lawyers who receive the KC designation are recognized for their professional excellence, integrity, and leadership.
Julie has practiced law for more than 20 years and is highly regarded for her practical, thoughtful approach to complex matters. Her work in professional regulatory and administrative law has had a significant impact on regulatory bodies, decision-makers, and professionals across Alberta.
Over the course of her career, Julie has appeared before numerous administrative tribunals as well as the Court of King’s Bench and the Court of Appeal. She is frequently sought out for her advice on regulatory matters, policy development, and administrative decision-making.
Julie is also a valued mentor and colleague within the firm and the broader legal community. As a bilingual lawyer, she appreciates the opportunity to engage with and serve Alberta’s francophone community.
