Thursday, May 6, 2021

Hosted by Julie Gagnon and Heidi Besuijen

In 2018, the Government of Alberta amended the Health Professions Act with Bill 21: An Act to Protect Patients. These changes sought to give health Colleges in Alberta the tools to respond to allegations involving conduct of a sexual nature.

This Essential Training session will revisit An Act to Protect Patients. Julie Gagnon and Heidi Besuijen will discuss how the concepts of the Act have played out in practice. Not only will you learn about the practical effects of this legislation, you will learn valuable tips to implement when dealing with these types of allegations in the course of your work.
