Francis Price announced as a recipient of National Opera Trustee Recognition Awards

In a Press Release from OPERA America, Francis Price is named a recipient of the 2023 National Opera Trustee Recognition Awards.

The National Opera Trustee Recognition Awards bring attention to boards of directors by honouring trustees for their exemplary leadership and service.

Nominees are evaluated based on their contributions to their company’s overall success, board effectiveness, community impact, and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Francis is a long-standing member of the Edmonton arts community. He sings bass in the Edmonton Opera chorus and performs and organizes numerous theatrical productions. This tremendous honour is bestowed upon Francis due to his role at Edmonton Opera, in which he has made significant contributions to the company’s success. As a board member for over 20 years, Francis has raised millions of dollars through leading the annual endowment campaign for Edmonton Opera. He has been instrumental in supporting young artists and promoting diverse storytelling through partnerships with other arts organizations such as the Edmonton International Fringe Festival and Pop Goes the Opera.
