Alison’s practice focuses primarily on construction litigation and commercial disputes. Clients appreciate her skill, creativity, and tenacity in assisting them to navigate and resolve disputes.
A member of our Construction Law Team, Alison’s extensive experience includes construction litigation and arbitration involving, among other things, infrastructure projects across a range of industries throughout Alberta. She has in-depth experience with tendering issues, builders’ liens, construction bonds, and other disputes that arise in the course of construction, including scope changes and schedule changes.
Alison’s broad commercial litigation experience includes shareholder and partnership disputes, complex contractual disputes, debt collection, and commercial real estate and leasing disputes. Focused on obtaining the best result for her clients, Alison is committed to finding practical business solutions, where possible.
Alison has appeared before the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal, as well as a number of administrative tribunals. She has also represented clients in various alternative dispute resolution proceedings including arbitration, mediation and judicial dispute resolution. Alison’s experience also includes health law, where she has previously represented and advised clients in medical malpractice litigation and professional complaints, including civil litigation and hospital and regulatory complaints.
